Meet Anna & Davitt Conroy, the husband and wife duo that decided to leave New York behind forever amid the pandemic, and head to beautiful West Cork to launch their new 'personal dining' service for Cork's food lovers.
The private dining business will allow guests across the county to enjoy high-end, seasonal dishes (inspired by West Cork's rich local produce) in alternative spaces and locations (inspired by guest's vision for the setting) with imaginative and meticulous service (inspired by the guest's preferences).
Local chef, Davitt Conroy, who recently returned to his native Cork with Anna to launch the service, spent over a decade creating private dining experiences for guests on yachts chartered across the Caribbean, Mediterranean and East Coast of the US.
He spent time in the Michelin-star restaurant Oceana working with chef Ben Pollinger, before cooking personally for New York's elite circle of government officials, artists and musicians. It was here that Davitt met Anna, a local New Yorker and a food writer with a background in customer service and the 'personal dining' concept for Chef Davitt was formed.
The duo's ambition is to take the very best of the restaurant experience - quality ingredients, creative menus, excellent service, and add layers of imagination to create a personal dining experience in alternative or unique spaces.
The choice of the location is entirely up to the guest - from the familiarity of their own home to quirky, unconventional settings such as the edge of a cliff on Mizen Head! The experience, menu and location are guided entirely by the client's vision for the night.
Davitt's menus celebrate the organic, seasonal and flavoursome ingredients from West Cork's top-quality producers, and will see exotic influences and flavour combinations from his time spent cooking overseas.
